There's good news, though! Today we're going to ditch the tiring journey to find grease-proof cookie boards, card stock and backers! I want to show you a super-easy way to package your cookies with adorable, printable backers.
One reason I love using cookie backers is that it serves as a shortcut to detailed decorating. With a decorative backer board for your cookie, you can make a simpler design for your cookies and thus, save time. This is a great idea for when you are busy or donating cookies to an event.

How to guarentee grease-proof cookie boards?
This trick uses clear cellophane bags to keep your delicious cookies separated from the backer card!
Here's how it works:
Start with a Cookie bag that is at least twice as tall as your cookie. These seem to work for the majority of my cookies.
Seal the Deal: Pop your cookie in the bag and heat-seal just above the cookie, creating a little pocket.
Fold it Up: Slide your cute, printable backer card right into the top part of the bag. Flip your card back behind your cookie to make sure you have it turned the correct way. Make one more seal above your cookie card. Now your cookie looks amazing and won't leave any greasy marks!
Surprise Inside!
These backer cards fold closed like a little card, perfect for hiding a fun surprise with your cookie! Imagine a sweet "Thank You" note for a party favor, a cool sticker for a kid, or even a discount code for your shop (great for people who taste your cookies at an event!).
